CAN (Controller Area Network) is a system developed for the connection to the car network. Its application is currently extended to other industrial sectors. The CAN system is developed according to the ISO 11898 standard. The maximum data transmission rate is 1Mbit/s per 40m segment length. For longer segment lengths, the use of larger segment cross-sections is required.
